April 2024
Hey all –
We had a great meeting at Cimarron on March 3rd with lots of members there and we even got to spread our message to a few other patrons. Thank you for hosting us! We recapped Officer’s Training and Lobby Day. Some good conversation was had about legislative challenges that other states are fighting as well our issues and the importance of upcoming elections. We also talked about upcoming events; Bar Olympics, Crash Scene Management, Get Your Wheels on Fundraiser, Summer Freedom Ride, the State events, and raffles tickets for sale.
Summer Freedom Ride books were printed and ready for distribution. Thank you, GT Graphics! Tremendous shout out to all our members at the meeting that took books and establishment stop signs to deliver. It was awesome to see so many willing to help. As I’m writing this, most of them have already been delivered and a few places even sold out of their books. Check out our Facebook page for a full list of places that have books and are participating. Enjoy a riding season filled with destinations!
While people are dropping off Summer Freedom Ride stuff, they’re also dropping off posters for the Get Your Wheels on Fundraiser and the Summer Hummer. Help us spread the word! We want to kick off the season with a fun filled day for lots of people at the Get Your Wheels on Bike & Car Show. It’s a beautiful ride out to the Smiling Moose and we have a spacious area available. If you have any donations for the raffle, bring them to an upcoming meeting or event. If you can’t do that, give me a call and I’ll coordinate a pickup.
On March 9th we had our meeting at Hookers Bar & Grill, and it was good to see a few repeat members. Thank you for hosting us. Hopefully, those who were at Daytona Bike Week had a great time and we hope to see them in April. We had some good discussion about the same things from our meeting on the 3rd. Since we had yard signs along, quite a few patrons bought them. They also got a newsletter. That got us talking about the importance of people seeing motorcycles. We’re working on planning awareness rallies.
On March 16th we hosted Bar Olympics at Shadows in School Hill. Thank you, Dean, for hosting us and running the tournament. Whether playing or watching, everyone there had a blast. I think we all felt a little younger as we flashed back to when we used to play those games all the time. I think our guts are still sore from all the laughing as well. We definitely want to do this again and hope to get a few more people there next time.
Thanks to everyone who is coming to meetings and events; as well as helping spread the word and deliver stuff. We hope to see more of you at future events so see the dates below and mark your calendar. 😉
See you soon!
Krissy
