Region 7B: Chippewa / Dunn / Pepin / Buffalo / Eau Claire Counties

Meetings: 1^st Sunday at 1 pm.

March 2nd was our annual Chili Cook-Off. We started with the Pledge of Allegiance and a Moment of Silence for our downed brothers and sisters and those in harm’s way. Our meeting was very short. We touched on our recent lobby day and upcoming meetings and events.

We had fourteen entrants for the Chili Cook-Off. They were all good. After counting the votes there was a tie for first place and a four-way tie for second. By a process of elimination, that was reduced to three winners. First place went to our District Director Dave VanDyke, second place was Cowboy (Mark Petit), and third place went to John Johnson. Our bake sale was once again a big hit. Dan’s smoked cheesecake brought in $50 on a silent auction. Thank you everyone that helped make this a success. Thank you, Cowboy for running it. Thank you, John and Michelle’s Bateman Tavern for hosting.

Our next meeting will be April 7th at 1 pm. at John and Michelle’s Bateman Tavern. This is the last meeting there before our roving meetings begin in May.

The post card schedule of meetings has an error for the May meeting and awareness rally. The May meeting will be immediately after our awareness rally. The awareness rally will be Sunday May 5th, 11-1 pm at the intersection of the North Crossing and Black Ave. We will have signs available beforehand. The Black Ave Kwik Trip is allowing us to park there so that is where we will gather. Again, our meeting will be immediately following at Fox Run Tavern 1515 N. 65th Ave., Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Hopefully, everyone can join us.
