Region 1A: Milwaukee County

Meetings: 2nd Tuesday, 7:30 pm at Magoo’s on the Mound, 5841 W. Bluemound Road, Milwaukee

April showers bring May flowers, do you know that saying? Well, here we are in April, but we had gotten so much rain in February & early March that we had quite a few attendees ride their Motorcycles to our March 12th meeting. Yes, here in Milwaukee we had peeps Ride their Motorcycles to our March meeting! Crazy winter we are having this year.

Inside it was a full house and even two new members attending, welcome. Cathy does a great job as our Region 1A Rep and running the monthly meetings. She did remind us of date conflicts this summer with Brewers games on the same night as our meetings (2nd Tues of each Month.) Our meeting location Magoo’s on the Mound is close to American Family Field and gets busy those nights. But the Brewers games start approx. 7 pm., and our meetings start 7:30 pm. Cathy has looked at other location options, but we might be keeping it at Magoo’s. Guess it will be easiest to bring the Bike then! Updates on this in the near future, stay tuned.

Biker Lobby Day was a success, Thanks to all of you that attended. Most of the work was done by Seven & Cathy as they lined up the meetings, the meeting room, and did the speaking for all of us. Cathy said she was happy to see the room so full of all of us motorcyclists and all Bikers. Thank you, Seven & Cathy, for all you do! Thank you to the Worst Bus Captain Mikey, and a big Thank you to Hupy & Abraham for paying for our S.E. Wisconsin Bus to/from Madison. We only had 2 open seats on the entire bus. We might need 2 buses next year. Let’s hope the Legislators listened to us with the items we took to them this year.

I should be telling you about the MRF update from Cathy, more Legislative updates from Seven (he was talking about a few States looking at mandatory Helmet laws), and the STR & Membership update from Bob T, but you’ll need to come to a meeting to hear all that. But I gotta mention our very own Mikey becoming our State Products Director! You go Mikey! Thank you for stepping forward for our org.

April 9th at Magoo’s starting at 7:30 pm. is our next Regional meeting. We usually have a 50/50 raffle. Someone won $42 in March. Many of us are there early socializing, drinking, and eating (they have great food.) Raffles, Eating, & Drinking -what more do you want! Come be part of something, even to just attend and listen.
