Our April meeting was held at the Prime Bar Family
Dining in Trego on April 1st. Thanks
for the snacks and hospitality! We had 19 in
attendance.
We will be holding our annual Motorcycle Awareness
Rally at the intersection of Highways 63 and 70 in
Spooner on May 6th starting at 10am
with the Regional meeting to follow at
Snag's. Due to the Awareness Rally the
meeting will be at 1pm.
Region 6A will buy a fish dinner for anyone from
the Region that signs up 6 or more new members in
the month of May.
The June 3rd Regional meeting will be
at Wolf's Eagle Lodge Resort & Campground,
4670 W. Sweitzer, Loretta at 11am.
The Food Shelf Drive will be held at Klopp's
in Shell Lake on April 28th from
3:00pm-?
Following the meeting we had the drawing for our
membership raffle. Congratulations to the
following winners: 1st- Michele Horman
from Trails End Resort (ABATE life membership);
2nd- Adam Nelson (MRF annual
membership); 3rd- Wayne

membership); 4th- Tom Killian (ABATE

By the time you read this all of the Summer Long
Poker Run books should have been distributed.
Anyone wanting one will have to buy them from the
establishments on the poker run. If you need more
information please contact George

Nelson.

May 12 -- Rusk County Honor the Fallen
Motorcycle Ride and Fundraiser. Starts at 8:30am
at Club 8 Supper Club, W9594 Hwy 8, Ladysmith. May
19 - Run From The Devil Ride. May 19 -- HOG
Bike Show at Rice Lake Harley Davidson, the show
will only be one day. We are working on getting a
Products and Membership booth for this event. May
18--20 -- ABATE Acres Land Warming Work
Weekend. May 20 -- Jim Downey's Ride
for Hope, tentatively leaving Taste Budz in
Spooner at 9am. June 21-24 - Summer Hummer. July
28- Longbranch Poker Run in Minong starting at
10am. Benefits ABATE and Boobs. Aug 10-12 --
3rd Annual Family Campout at ABATE
Acres. September 29 - Rusk County Honor the Fallen
Motorcycle Ride and Fundraiser. Starts at 8:30am
at the Veterans Memorial Association, 605 Summit
Ave., Ladysmith. Oct 12-14 -- ABATE of
Wisconsin Annual Meeting Event in Neenah

(Barron County) The next meeting is May
13th at noon at Dale's Twin
Pines, west of Cumberland on Hwy 48.
(Burnett County) The next meeting is Wed., May
2nd at 7pm at The Rendezvous, 115
Madison Ave., Grantsburg
(Rusk County) We will be having a meeting on Sat.
May 19 at noon at Burdy's Bar and Grille in
Weyerhaeuser.
(Sawyer County) The May Meet and Greet is Friday,
May 4th at Phipp's Tavern 11905
Phipps Rd. Hayward at 4pm.
(Washburn County) Washburn meeting was held at Big
Dick's Buckhorn Bar in Spooner on April 7th.
Gary had the pledge and moment of silence. At that
time he told everyone that Gus and Cindy Zittlow
were killed on their motorcycle Friday April 6th.
The accident was at the intersection of County V
and Highway 53 by Haugen WI.
We then talked about the upcoming food shelf
benefit at Klopp's Bar on April 28th.
Gary told everyone that we will have an
Abate products booth on May 19th
for the HOG Bike Show at Rice Lake Harley
Davidson.
We talked about the other run's and events coming
up including the Jim Downey's Ride for Hope
May 20th and the Long Branch Poker Run on July
28th.
We reminded everyone about the Motorcycle
Awareness Rally on May 6th at the intersection of
70 and 63 in Spooner.
The May 12th Meeting is at the Roadhouse
south of Long Lake on Cty M, the June 9th Meeting
is at Pappy's west of Minong on Hwy 77. Both
meetings are at noon.
A big thanks to Dick for the pizza's he served
after our meeting.
