Contact Your State Senator in Support of AB55 without Amendments

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
AB55 Passes out of committee and will go to the
Senate floor next.
Many of us have made numerous calls to our
legislators in the last few months and our work is
closer to completion. The Senate Transportation
and Elections Committee has passed AB55 and it has
now been scheduled to the Senate floor.
Members of ABATE of Wisconsin were able to
persuade Senator Lazich to get an Executive
Session of the Senate Transportation and Elections
Committee called, and AB55 brought before that
committee for consideration. The committee session
was Thursday, and at 12:25pm our bill, AB55,
passed unanimously out of the committee.
Currently, AB55 is on the docket to be brought to
the Senate Floor for a vote on February 21, 2012.
Great job! But, there is still work to do.
We must make sure that each and every Senator is
contacted personally in the next 8 days and
that we do two things: We request their support,
and we make sure that we ask for a YES vote
without amendments on our legislation..
