By Marlene Bautch
We hope to see YOU there!
Just a reminder and a few updates:
- The BUS ROUTES from the
original March 5 day are still correct for pick-up times and
the BUS ROUTE link here. There is no charge to hop on the
bus and join us in Madison for Lobby Day.
- WHEN YOU GET TO
MADISON: Please make your way to our Lobby Day Headquarters at
Inn on the Park (22 South Caroll Street right across from the
Capitol) . When you sign in
there, we will have all the information you need to make the most of
- BIKE PARKING: If you
are riding into Madison, parking near the Capitol is "on your own."
The meters right on the Square have a three-hour limit (according to
the City of Madison's webpage). While we would love to see a number
of bikes at this event, we must give you fair warning that parking
access is very limited. The Inn on the Park is fully booked so only
registered guests will be allowed to park in their underground lot.
The CC Riders MC welcome you to park your bike securely in their lot.
The Clubhouse will be open and attended throughout the day. (See
shuttle info in next point below.)
- ANYONE DRIVING IN to
Madison is welcome to park their vehicle at the CC Riders MC parking
lot and ride our free shuttle bus in to Lobby Day Headquarters at Inn
on the Park. The CC Riders Clubhouse is located at 1325 Parkside Dr,
Madison, Wisconsin 53704. Click Here for Map and driving directions. The Shuttle Bus will run from 8:30am
- GROUP PHOTO: The group
photo on Lobby Day will be on the State Street steps of the Capitol
Building at 12:30pm. Please be on time. We will not wait for you!
People have appointments to keep so we need to get the picture done as
quickly as possible.
- YOUR APPOINTMENTS: Have
you let us know about the appointments you have made with your
legislators? If not, please send the TIME, ROOM NUMBER (location), and
LEGISLATORS you are meeting to firstname.lastname@example.org . We will have a posting of all appointments
at our Lobby Day Headquarters at Inn on the Park.
This annual Lobby Day is our most important day! It is our
opportunity to unite motorcyclists from across the state, introduce
ourselves to new legislators, reacquaint ourselves with returning
legislators and present our legislative agenda for the year.
No Experience is Necessary. We have people who will be there
willing to help you through the day. Come join us at Lobby Day and be
a part of Grassroots Lobbying in Action!
