Meetings always 1st Sunday of the month 11:30 am

Hi Folks, the sun has finally returned!! Bikes are out, keep your heads on a swivel! People are not used to seeing us yet, be careful out there. Do a good once over before hitting the road again, make sure your bike’s ready for another fun filled season.

Here is the info on our May Awareness Rally/Meeting. May 18th Farmington Inn. We will have a canopy set up and Ann is furnishing pulled meat sandwiches (for purchase). We will have water and chips for all those outside. The plan is to start at noon and go ‘till 4pm. That way everyone who works at the function still has time to enjoy some riding themselves. We went over the details at our last meeting, and this should be great. Let us hope the weather cooperates. I will have bumper stickers, a few road signs, plenty of trifolds, and any other goodies I run across. Let us hope for a good turnout from our membership, and a lot of drops in traffic. It would be great to add a few new members! As an ordained minister, I will also be doing a bike blessing for anyone who wishes to do it.

The first weekend of May, that Saturday, my kids and I will be doing ROAD CLEAN UP along our stretch of Co. Rd. G. I plan to start around noon if anyone cares to join us. We are responsible for doing 3 clean ups a season. Grass and weeds are just starting to grow so, get it while we can see it, lol.

Big shout out to all those who attended STEAM. Thanks for taking your time to learn and help the motorcycling community. I have been a few times, and it is a wealth of info on the states around us and how everyone is proceeding on our rights as motorcyclists.

We had a good meeting at “In Good Spirits” in Rome this last month. Nice watering hole and friendly staff, good place to drop in to cool off for a while. Thanks to those who made it. Big shout out to Candy and Bob for their help on the May awareness meeting. It really makes the reps’ job a lot easier when we have members that step up when needed. Luckily, I am blessed with regional members who are willing to do this!!

Oct. 11th –13th is ABATE of WI’s 50th Anniversary celebration which will be held in Madison. If you’re planning on attending, make your reservations NOW as it will fill quickly. It’s at the Sheridan Hotel. This is going to be an epic get together!! Be there and share in a slice of history.

Well, I’m sure I’ve forgotten something (which I’ll be reminded of at our meeting, lol), but got to get this sent. See you in May if not sooner, watch those critters and cagers.
