Have you ever heard of the WOW effect? That’s the reaction you will have when you see the building this spring. The Pavilion is now a reality. We should be very proud of ourselves for making this happen. Few grassroots, volunteer organizations would take on a project like this one, let alone get it done. Getting it done and working hard seems to be ingrained in all of us.
Are you saving your pennies for the pavilion project? Pennies turn into dollars and although we are still falling a little short of our final goal, we are making steady progress at having the project 100% financed, which has always been what we wanted. Do any of you remember what the property looked like when we bought it? We should be extremely proud of ourselves for developing ABATE Acres for not only ourselves but for future generations.
The brick promotion is also going well with 77 bricks being sold at last count. The design team has come up with a few ideas of what the wall will look like, but we need to have a final count of engraved bricks before the design can be finalized. You can expect an ordering deadline to come withing the next few months so if you want to become a part of the wall, consider ordering now. ABATE of Wisconsin is looking forward to our Past Executive Directors getting on board, buying a brick, and by doing so, becoming the “Foundation” of the wall just as they are the “Foundation” of our organization.
The Pavilion fund as of 4/23/23 is short by $21,743.49 of its $141,000 total, so we do have a bit of work to do.
Thank you for all of your efforts and hard work to make this project happen. ABATE could not do it without all of you.
Please forward any questions about the project to the Land Development committee.
