Meetings: 1st Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm (new start time!), Foxview Lanes 2440 W Sunset Dr, Waukesha, WI 53189

April 2024

Meetings: 1F’s Regional Meetings are on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 7 pm – Social hour at 6 pm. Meet at Foxx View Lanes, 2440 W. Sunset Dr., Waukesha WI 53189.

The Pledge of Allegiance always starts out our meeting. We then pay our respects with a moment of silence for our Brothers and Sisters who are no longer with us. We also pay our respects for all those Men and Women who serve and protect us morning, noon, and night, 365!

We discussed our “Wax on Wax” off event coming up at Triumph of Waukesha. It’s an opportunity for all of us to get together and learn the finer points of detailing our motorcycles. We also talked about our Awareness Rally. We picked a preliminary date and will check with 1A and call a location to verify availability.

Treasury Report – Bob T. We are still in the Black and up to date with the State. Thanks, Bob!

Legislative Report – BuellBob. Took the time to thank everyone for showing up to Lobby Day. Talked about staying vigilant with our Lawmakers every chance we get. Emails, phone calls, and town hall meetings are our best opportunities to let our voices be heard.

Membership Report – Werner. Werner took a much needed vacation and was unable to be at the meeting. I asked who’s not getting their newsletter. That’s the best way of making sure your membership is current. Everyone should try and get one new member to join us.

Highway Safety – BuellBob. Our “Knock The Rust Off” was discussed and I informed everyone that we were given a grant to help offset the cost for this. There are a couple more hoops we have to jump through to get the grant, but we will try. We also discussed the first motorcycle fatality of the year. It was unfortunately, a self-inflicted death, as the rider was speeding when he hit the car. I’ve said it before, and I will say it again, you can’t fix Stupid. If he wouldn’t have been speeding, he would probably be here today. Ride your own ride. Ride to your own abilities. These aren’t just words. There is meaning behind them.

Share the Road Report – Bob T. Unfortunately, there is nothing new to report. Bob will keep trying to get into classrooms.

Thanks, Bob T.

Product Report – Janet S. Again, I am so happy that Janet took over Products. Janet also will be able to get products from other representatives if she doesn’t have it in stock. Thanks, Janet.

As you read this it’s April. Usually, a transitional time from winter to spring. But with the winter being such a warm one a lot of us have been riding for quite a while . But there are some who have been holding out until now, waiting for the spring to come. Well, it’s here and to help you get your riding skills back come and join us. We will be looking for you on the 27th at Fox River Church, S46W24130 Lawnsdale Road, Waukesha for our 3rd annual “Knock The Rust Off” class. Starting at 9 am we will be going over riding skills to get you ready for the upcoming season. Gary Klinker, our trained instructor, will be there to help everyone get their riding groove on. Hope to see you there!

Let’s Be Safe Out There!

May God Bless You. May God Bless America.

Waukesha Strong!
