Response to Paddlewheel Veto

Recently there have been comments made about Governor Evers decision to veto Wisconsin Bill SB 43 which would have allowed groups with a current Class B Raffle license to hold paddlewheel raffles. Currently in the State of Wisconsin, paddlewheel raffles are illegal, and this was an aCempt to change that. ABATE of Wisconsin Inc, along with its individual regions around the state that operate under the guidelines of ABATE of Wisconsin Inc, do not use a paddlewheel as a means to raise funds. Although many of the individual regions do hold a Class A and a Class B raffle license, they are used for various other fundraising measures. We would like to thank the State Legislature for taking this bill up and showing support for this as a means to raise money and we ask them to consider a vote to override the Governors decision.
