We are busy behind the scenes creating a new Hummer “Sponsorship” trifold that can be used to solicit funds to help offset some of our larger expenses for the Hummer. Thank you goes out to Sideways Shakes for his expertise and creativity. Hopefully, this will make it easier for all of us to go into a business, large or small, and hand them a simple form when asking for donations to make this fundraiser be the best it can be.
Rebel just returned from Sturgis where he talked to many vendors, brought back information and “felt them out” about the possibility of coming to ABATE Acres in the future to set up a booth at the Hummer. We will all be hashing over his take on what took place in South Dakota to see if we can incorporate some of those ideas here.
This is September already, and the committee is in the process of budgeting for the 2021 event. This is a lengthy process because we never know what our attendance will be, therefore don’t know what we need to prepare for. It would be so much easier if all of our members would make a commitment to be there. We have always said that if we get even ½ of our own membership to attend, we would not only have a fabulous turnout, but it would be an awesome fundraiser as well. It is definitely worth the effort. Rain or Shine we all manage to have a great time, hear some great music, eat some fabulous food, win some nice raffles and last, but not least, visit with some of the best people I know. Make an effort next June to get your region together and “Give‘r Hell in ‘21” at our own ABATE Acres and the Summer Hummer.
