This was my first S.T.E.A.M. Conference, and I had no idea how much work is involved with putting this conference on. I applaud all the workers and the work that went into this project. Jen Dewitz did a great job, even with all the changes she had to deal with.
The activities were super, the food was great, and the drinks were heavy. We all had a great time with the social activities and the mingling with the members from other states. I learned that not all states handle motorcycle issues the same way. It was very informative to hear different points of view. I learned a lot from the other participants and would recommend this conference to every motorcycle enthusiast.
It seems we all have the same situation with membership. This is going to be an ongoing issue that will have to be dealt with or our organization will slowly disappear. There is no easy answer to this problem. Actually, the answer is easy, but the solution is not.
Different viewpoints on Zoom were brought up and not everybody is on the same page. This is what makes the breakout meetings so informative. It was very interesting to hear about the MC groups and how they operate.
After this positive experience, I will be planning on attending future S.T.E.A.M. Conferences.
