I’ll admit…somedays I don’t like people very much. That probably comes from too many years of working with the public. But I always like motorcycles and I’m passionate about preserving our freedom to ride.
But this isn’t about me.
Do you like to ride? Do you love someone who rides? Are you passionate about ABATE of WI and the Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF)? Do you want to see our ability to ride continue long into the future?
Then we need your help.
ABATE of WI is actively recruiting Assistant State Reps to the MRF in the North, Central, and Western parts of the state. It helps if you like people, because one of the main objectives of an assistant state rep is to grow the membership of the MRF. This can be achieved by setting up and working membership tables at various events, both locally and state-wide. You don’t need to be a salesperson; you just need to be genuine. Simply sharing your love for the organization and having some basic knowledge of how the MRF supports the motorcycling community are needed. There are lots of tools and handouts available to help with this. I am happy to give anyone guidance on how to successfully work a membership table.
Most importantly, you will have the opportunity to share in the fun! Events like the STEAM conference and Meeting of the Minds are amazing tools to learn more about becoming successful as an Asst. State Rep. And there’s even the possibility to win awards! I know none of us volunteer because we want an award, but a little recognition never hurts, right? As of this writing, ABATE of WI is in 4th place in the country for the best recruiting state! The only states ahead of us are Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois. It’s no surprise that the Midwest is kicking butt! And Arizona rounds out the top five.
So, here’s how you can help—if you aren’t already a member of the MRF, you should be! Preserving our freedoms is not just done at a state level, but at a national level as well. There’s an MRF membership application in this newsletter. Sign up to become a member today! If you are a member and are interested in taking it to the next level, contact me about becoming an Assistant State Rep. My email address is listed above by my name, or you can call or text me at 920-207-4679.
As always, stay vigilant, my friends!
