Hopefully, you’ve all been out enjoying the awesome summer weather we’ve been having and getting your knees in the breeze. There’s nothing like a little wind therapy to put things in perspective. A lot has changed in my personal life in the last year and I am grateful for the time I get on my motorcycle, the wind, and mostly my ABATE family who has been supportive through all of it. Thank you!
Coming into September, we’ve got a very busy month ahead of us. The Tomahawk Fall Ride runs from Sept 15-19th. Look for us up there promoting ABATE and the MRF any chance we get. Right after that is the Meeting of the Minds. This is the MRF’s annual meeting, per se. It is one of the few times we are all able to get together throughout the country and celebrate our biker freedoms. This year it is in Atlanta, so most of us will have to fly down, instead of ride, due to time constraints. Therefore, the cost is higher, so the board has agreed to scholarship 10 members and anyone else is able to go on their own dime. ABATE of WI is special, in that we are one of the only SMROs in the country that provide some financial support to our members to attend these events.
Conferences like Meeting of the Minds are inspirational and motivational and that is why ABATE of WI puts its money where its mouth is. The amount of knowledge that can be gained, ideas shared, and camaraderie built, cannot be surpassed anywhere. And fortunately for us, next year’s conferences are all being held in the Midwest! I invite all members of ABATE of WI to attend some of the upcoming conferences next year to gain knowledge and insight into how to effectively continue the fight for our freedoms. Mark your calendars for the Heartland S.T.E.A.M. conference being held in Springfield, IL April 1-2, 2022, and Meeting of the Minds to be held the last weekend in September in Iowa.
Also, watch the November newsletter and our Facebook page to see how much hardware ABATE of WI brings home from the awards banquet at Meeting of the Minds. We truly are one of the best SMROs in the country!
If you aren’t already a member of the MRF, you should be! Preserving our freedoms is not just done at a state level, but at a national level as well. There’s an MRF membership application in this newsletter. Sign up to become a member today! If you are a member and are interested in taking it to the next level, contact me about becoming an Assistant State Rep. My email address is listed above by my name, or you can call or text me at 920-207-4679.
As always, stay vigilant, my friends!
