Thank You SPONSORS!

by Betty Roberge

The Summer Hummer is like a coat of many colors. These colors come to us in a multitude of ways and volunteer hours that plan, find entertainment, find vendors, find services – ice – beer – porta potties – advertising – you name it….and after it’s all planned, then the volunteers are there to work it, baby – work it. By the start of the Hummer, we have a conglomeration of color at the land. It’s starting to gel, and I love the excitement and all the color that comes with it.

One of the most important parts of getting the Hummer off the ground each year is the support that comes from our sponsors. The Summer Hummer committee can’t thank them enough and we hope you do too! You will find them listed in the newsletter, on our printed media – posters, event programs, and on our social media platforms. Here is a list who came through for us. Be sure to use their services throughout the year and if you see them out and about, offer them a word of appreciation.

A huge shout out to this year’s sponsors: HUPY & ABRAHAM LAW FIRM, MODERN DISPOSAL SYSTEMS (Sparta, WI),SUPERIOR SOUND ENTERTAINMENT, ABATE OF WI REGION 1J (Kenosha County), ROAD TRACK & TRAIL (Big Bend, WI), SUBURBAN MOTORS (Thiensville, WI), THE ROADHOUSE (Necedah), BULL FALLS HD OF WAUSAU, VANDERVEST HD OF GREEN BAY, CRAFT MASONRY, INC. (Jackson, WI), HARLEY DAVIDSON OF MADISON, ABATE OF WI REGION 2A (Sheboygan County), ABATE of WI REGION 1E (Jefferson County), TIGER BEYER, CORNER BAR (Merillan, WI), DENMARK STATE BANK, ELI’S ROADHOUSE (Plymouth, WI), FUDGIENUCKLES (Glenbeulah WI), GAIER CONSTRUCTION (Black River Falls, WI), WORM & JULIE GRASSE, JW DRIVING ACADEMY (Greenwood, WI), and DANNY & DAWN STODDARD.

As a note, although our posters have gone to print, we will still accept sponsorship money. Any new sponsors that come on board will have their names/locations on all future printings and will be listed on our social media platforms. 3 of our Regions met our challenge of soliciting $500 in sponsorship money. They are: Region 1J – Kenosha County, Region 7C – La Crosse County and Region 2A – Sheboygan County ($450 in Sponsorships). Thank You.

“If we build it, they will come.” Believe it or not, we are still working our hardest to get final figures together on the pavilion. We do know that our original cost estimate was low, therefore as reported last month, the Pavilion Fund Campaign is still ON. Please keep sending in your generous donations to Laurie Thompson marked “Pavilion Fund” and let’s still hope it can be done by Hummer 2022. Can we do it? The committee hopes so. Questions? Musical Entertainment: Drumroll please…Oh Wait—we aren’t announcing until Officer;s Training, but what a lineup!

Officer’s training will be the place for Regional Reps to pick up Summer Hummer posters, magnets, business cards, Establishment Day Pass information, and Excitement! The best advertising we have lined up for the 2022 Hummer is YOU. Talk it up at each meeting. Bring friends and family – members or not. Start deciding what “theme” your region will be using for the “Regional Campsite Theme Contest.” Let’s prove that 25% + of our own members are willing to support the biggest state fundraiser of the year! Just Imagine. Just Be There. Just Do It!

Why do we want to? Because – Motorcycling Matters!

As always, forward any and all Hummer ideas to: robert.grasse59@gmail.com or news30letter@outlook.com.
