There are two separate fundraising campaigns going on right now to make this pavilion a reality. Choose one, or both, and become a part of history.
First is the Brick Cornerstone Project campaign. This campaign allows you to purchase an engraved brick to be included in a cornerstone wall that will be constructed on site once the pavilion is completed and will allow you to become a part of a permanent structure at the land. More information and an order form is found on page 3 of this newsletter.
Second is a Calendar Raffle campaign that Region 7C is holding. All proceeds from this specific calendar raffle go toward the pavilion project and the Hupy matching fund challenge. Tickets sell for $20 each with cash prizes being drawn each Tuesday from July 12th through September 27th, inclusively. Prizes drawn each week are $100 – $50 – $25 – $25, giving you 48 chances to win your money back. (Winning tickets are put back into the drawing after each prize is determined.) Only 500 tickets are being sold. Ticket sales end at 5 pm of July 12th before the first drawing. How can you get yours? Send your money made out to ABATE of WI to Laurie Thompson – 7C Raffle, 1423 S. 169th St., New Berlin, WI 53151 OR Betty Roberge – 7C Raffle, 319 Long Coulee Road, Holmen, WI 54636. Your ticket stub will be mailed to you or, if time is short, an electronic copy will be emailed or texted to you.
The Pavilion Project is close to being scheduled for a build hopefully this fall, so baring any hitches, it will be ready for the 2023 Hummer. Fingers crossed that our fundraising efforts are well on their way to being concluded but we need your help. Tallies aren’t in yet from the funds that were raised and contributed during last month’s Summer Hummer. We’ll be anxious to see where we sit. Every cent we earn counts toward the Hupy & Abraham $35,000 fund match, so please continue to send in your donations. It is the hope of the organization that we will have raised enough cash to pay for the project in full with donations that started to be earmarked for the project in the spring of 2022. It all started with Joe Stanek’s challenge for ABATE of Wisconsin to raise $20,000. If we did that, he would donate $10,000 in Brenda Stanek’s name for a permanent structure to replace the tent rental each Summer Hummer. That started the ball rolling. Thank you, Joe for getting us going on this project that will save us thousands of dollars in the future and will memorialize Brenda with a plaque placed on the pavilion.

ABATE of Wisconsin Announces the Pavilion “Cornerstone” Project
Hupy & Abraham, SC has offered ABATE of WI up to $35,000 in matching funds to help finance a good portion of the balance needed to construct the permanent Pavilion at ABATE Acres. ABATE of WI needs to raise an additional $35,000 to qualify for the matching funds – for a combined total of $70,000. In order to help ABATE of Wisconsin earn the $35,000 to be eligible to receive Hupy & Abraham’s match, we are offering members and friends an opportunity to become part of a permanent fixture at our land.
A “Cornerstone” Brick wall will be constructed next to the Pavilion that will be made up of individual engraved bricks. Members may purchase these bricks, engraved with their name, for a $300 donation.
Past Donations: Anyone who has made a previous donation to the Pavilion Fund project since its inception in the spring of 2021, will have the option of paying the difference between what they originally donated and the cost of a brick, to make the $300 mark. This additional donation would then entitle them to an engraved brick and inclusion on the wall. Those who previously made a donation that exceeded the $300 mark will be notified to determine if they desire to have an engraved brick in their name included in the “Cornerstone” project.
Leave your footprint at ABATE Acres by becoming a permanent addition or “Cornerstone” of ABATE Acres. Help us raise the funds necessary for the Hupy and Abraham $35,000 fund match. Let future generations of ABATE of Wisconsin know that they have a strong foundation of members to build on with ABATE of Wisconsin. (See page 3 of this newsletter for your order form.)
