First and foremost, please take note that the address for the MRF office has changed. That means all tri-folds, membership applications, etc. need to be updated. We went through this recently with ABATE and it’s the same process. Bring all of your old materials to the State Meeting or get them to your District Director and I will put new address labels on them or give you new ones. It’s important that we stay current as we don’t want to have any delays in processing memberships.
The new address is Motorcycle Riders Foundation, PO Box 9090, Peoria, IL 61612.
We are again seeking several Assistant State Reps in the Green Bay, Northwoods and Western parts of the state. The primary roles of an ASR are to promote the organization through membership drives and share information about the MRF. This means you get to attend fun events like the Tomahawk Fall Ride and conferences like STEAM and Meeting of the Minds. You can reach out to me via text, phone, or email if you are interested in taking your membership to the next level or have any questions. My contact info is on the back page of this newsletter.
If you are a member of the Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF) already, I hope you are reading your American Bikers Journal (ABJ). You will notice ABATE of WI is very well represented in it. I currently serve as an Assistant to the Board for the Reps Program. Seven is an Assistant to the Board for the MC (club) Reps Program. The MRF President is none other than our very own Deputy Director, Kirk “Hardtail” Willard. Rounding out our current representation is Dave Dwyer, who is one of two SSMRO Board Representatives.
At the time of this writing, we are gearing up for Meeting of the Minds. This is the annual national conference where we set the Legislative Agenda for the upcoming year, and we attend a multitude of inspirational and educational seminars. We are blessed that it is close to home this year, in Des Moines, IA. It won’t be back in the Midwest for several years after this, so I hope you were able to take advantage and attend. For those of you that didn’t, next month’s article will have some exciting announcements and updates from Meeting of the Minds.
Also, watch the November newsletter and our Facebook page to see how much hardware ABATE of WI brings home from the awards banquet at Meeting of the Minds. We truly are one of the best SMROs in the country!
Lastly, if you aren’t already a member of the MRF, you should be! Preserving our freedoms is not just done at a state level, but at a national level as well. There’s an MRF membership application in this newsletter. Sign up to become a member today! And sign your friends up too!
As always, stay vigilant, my friends!
