2023 Sponsorship is in full swing. The Summer Hummer committee mailed out 280 +/- Sponsorship forms along with a letter of explanation to businesses and also to supporters from past Summer Hummer events. Each Regional Rep was also given a sponsorship packet at the Annual Meeting to take back to their regions to “Spread the Word” on the 2023 Summer Hummer Sponsorship program. Those packets included a letter of explanation, application forms, magnets, and a list of those business that the committee is contacting in order to avoid a duplication of effort. We have also included the sponsorship form which explains the levels of sponsorship we offer in this newsletter. Please be sure to make copies of the form and present it to any business you think would be a good fit for becoming a sponsor of the Summer Hummer. Anyone looking for the actual sponsorship brochure can email ABATEwis@abatewis.org or news@abatewis.org to have some mailed to them. If we all work together on gaining sponsorship money, we will benefit the organization with good entertainment and a good time, which will ultimately make this fundraiser a great success. Remember, it takes all of us to make this work.
We are getting closer to having our budget approved by the board of directors so we can solidify some of our plans for 2023. That’s a good thing. Again, our budget numbers were based on last year, so if we want to continue to grow and improve it will take some sponsors to make it happen. Just sayin.’ Remember the regional challenge to bring in $500 of outside money as sponsors.
Talk up the Hummer in your regions and districts. Our best form of advertising is word of mouth. Our goal should be to have at least 25% of our own members be in attendance. Then, if we sprinkle in a few hundred outsiders the Hummer would really Hummmm. When talking up the Hummer, don’t forget to mention that this year we are having a trial run at day passes which will cost $30 per person, per day.
Just a reminder that our vendor coordinators are always looking for new vendors. If you know of someone that would be a good fit for our rally, be sure to forward that info to Lauri Shakal (715) 306-1148, Betsy Jennings (715) 589-8067, or Kay Johnson (715) 512-0062 so they can contact the vendor and get them set up.
Start thinking of where your talents lie and consider working a shift or two next June. It’s a great way to meet people and cultivate life-long friendships.
So, to recap – our main focus right now are – sponsors – and vendors. If you have ideas, let us know.
As always, forward any and all Hummer ideas, comments – good or bad – and suggestions to: Robert.grasse59@gmail.com or news30letter@outlook.com.
SEE YOU IN JUNE 2023!
