Please help me in welcoming Becky Zarling and Bob Christopherson, both from Pulaski, as our newest MRF Assistant State Reps! They have already shown their dedication to ABATE and the MRF and have put in countless hours this past year working bike shows and rallies, putting up membership booths and spreading the word every chance they get.
They are fired up and I hope you are too! We may be done riding for the year (at least most of us are), but that doesn’t mean we get to take the winter off. This is the perfect time to be researching the detriment to our riding freedom that seems to be coming at us from all angles lately. And learning how we can stop it. If you think there aren’t things coming our way, you must have your head in the sand. We can’t afford to wait until it is too late to stand up and fight. Steve’s article on the front page often highlights the latest legislative concerns we have, and they are usually the same at both the state and federal level.
Speaking of research, Officer’s Training isn’t far off, and this is a fantastic opportunity for members to gain valuable knowledge about both the inner workings of ABATE and our motorcycle-related concerns.
At Officer’s Training, I plan to do an educational break-out session for all of our Assistant State Reps and anyone who is considering becoming one. This this the perfect opportunity to gain some insight without any pressure. We have a plethora of tools available at our disposal to make our volunteer efforts as comfortable and simple as possible. Let’s get as many people on board as possible!
If you aren’t already a member of the MRF, you should be! Preserving our freedoms is not just done at a state level, but at a national level as well. There’s an MRF membership application in this newsletter. Sign up to become a member today!
Are looking for some last-minute gift ideas? How about sharing your dedication to freedom by gifting ABATE and/or MRF memberships to your friends and family?
As always, stay vigilant, my friends!
