Summer Hummer Report

Things are moving along nicely with the planning of the 2024 Summer Hummer.

Sponsorship pamphlets should be coming out sometime in October. If you know of a business or individual who would like to support us and get some advertising for their business to boot, please see your regional rep for sponsorship forms or look for them in the newsletter. You are able to print them off yourselves and hand them out to your business contacts. Remind those interested that depending on their contribution level, they will get print advertising as well as advertising on both Facebook and our own ABATE of Wisconsin website. Supporters have been very generous in the past which is what makes our event so successful. The deadline for being included on the Summer Hummer flyer is December 31^st. Flyers are printed in January to be distributed at Officer’s Training in February.

The committee is in the process of producing our budget for next year. This budget needs to be approved by the board of directors in December so we are really sharpening our pencils to be sure that everything needed will be covered. Not an easy task. Expenses are constantly going up and attendance has been relatively flat. All the more reason to solicit sponsors and bring your friends and neighbors.

As stated previously, the bands have been chosen for next year. That doesn’t mean we won’t consider different bands for future Hummers. If you know of a band you would like to have play, contact Worm and he will forward the information.
