Did you know the cost of shipping a membership pin is three times the cost of shipping a membership rocker? This is due to the rising cost of postage and the fact that pins need to be processed by hand while rockers and patches can use an automated process system for shipment. If you would prefer to have a rocker instead of a pin as you annually renew your membership, please let our administrative assistant Marie know. Her contact information is on the back page of this newsletter.
Next October is an election year for ABATE of Wisconsin. All elected positions are open. It’s not too early to think about putting your name in the hat. All of us have things that interest us more than others, areas we think we are good at. Over the next few months learn what the responsibilities of ABATE officers are and ask yourself if you have the time and the dedication to become more involved. If you do, go for it. We should always have more than one name on any ballot. I hope to see many new names to consider during our election process. Good luck to all of you.
We have many challenges ahead of us, keeping internal combustion engines available and fuel to be able to run them are just to name two. I think now more than ever, it is important to read Steve’s Legislative article in the newsletter to keep you up to speed on what is going on and how it can affect us. Trust me, our way of life is at risk.
WE NEED NUMBERS and MEMBERSHIP in order to make ABATE stronger than ever to give us a voice and prevent things about motorcycling as we know it from changing. Getting new members and keeping them can only be done by you. Talk to people. Let them know what is going on. Show them how they can stand up for their way of life by being a member of ABATE of Wisconsin. It’s happening. Let’s do something about it.
Ride Safe, Ride Free, Ride with ABATE.
