Don’t Let a Few Decide for the Many

The first part of our ABATE election has been completed. Our District Directors have been elected. That you for casting your vote.

We are not done yet. There are still several important positions to fill. We have to vote to elect our Board Members-at-Large, Executive Director, Deputy Director, Recording Secretary, Business Agent, and Membership Director. To be considered, candidacy papers had to be submitted to the office by July 15, 2024. Please note: General election mail-in ballots need to be mailed to ABATE of Wisconsin, PO Box 338, Holmen, WI 54636 by October 1, 2024. You may vote after that date in person at the annual state meeting, which takes place at the Sheraton Hotel, 706 John Nolen Drive, Madison, WI. on October 13, 2024. Check your newsletter for specific dates and times. Please vote. We don’t want a few to decide for the many.

I hope to see many of you at the state meeting October 11-13. It’s our 50^th Anniversary Celebration and is going to be very special and something you don’t want to miss.

Also, try to attend as many motorcycle events as you can. These events are a great opportunity to talk to people about ABATE and explain what we are about. Explain some of the benefits of membership in ABATE, such as the use of the land and the many events that are organized by our members. It’s not all work. We have fun and meet many great people that are interested in the same things we are.

I want to thank all of the members that work so hard to make ABATE the best SMRO in the country.
