I recently attended the 2024 Meeting of the Minds in St. Louis, MO. It was one of the best MOM’s I have attended. Thank you to the MRF and all the people that worked so hard to put this conference together. It takes a lot of work.

Thursday was a travel day, but that evening we started the weekend with “Meet the States.” Each state attending talks about what is going on in their area of the US about motorcyclists’ rights.

We were up early Friday for the general session and afterwards we had choices of different breakout sessions to attend. That evening, I attended a live auction and also the MRF PAC fundraiser.

Saturday was another full day of learning and sharing ideas. The evening was very special. We started with a great banquet meal then awards were presented to people that have gone the extra mile to protect our way of life. I’m very proud to say that I was a friend of Marlene Bautch who this year, was inducted into the MRF’s Freedom Fighter Hall of Fame.

I also recently attended the ABATE of Wisconsin annual meeting in Madison. This was also a busy weekend because it was our 50^th Anniversary. We had many great guest speakers as well as many ABATE members from the past attending. It was an honor to be able to talk to them in person and hear stories from the past. The ride to the Capitol went off without a hitch – no one was arrested.

It was also an election year for us. Thanks to everyone that voted. Be sure to check the newsletter for the announcement of the winners that will guide us in our fight for freedom for the next two years. Please support them. It is not an easy job.

Don’t forget to get at least one new member into ABATE of WI. We could double our membership in one year if we all brought in a new recruit.
