ABATE Acres Report & Future Improvements Status

What’s the Buzz? Tell Me What’s a Happening.

The Land Committee is still working on the Pavilion project. We are consulting with a structural engineer in order to obtain State approved plans, which we need in order to complete the project. We have one comprehensive bid in, but others will be waiting for our approved plans before bidding. In the meantime, we know that we have a monetary shortfall in getting it built….SO, Please continue to send donations in to Laurie Thompson for our pavilion fund.

If you’ve ever seen Hardtail’s presentation about ducks on the water, you know what I’m talking about. Above the water it may seem like our feathered friends are just floating around, but if you could see them underneath the surface, you would notice a great flurry of activity as their webbed feet frantically move to keep them afloat. The webbed feet of our land committee are working very hard behind the scenes. Don’t be discouraged in how long it takes. We need to have all of our ducks in a row in order to build a structure that will do what we want it to do and will last as long as we want it to.

Can we do it by next year’s Summer Hummer? Time will tell. We are dealing with the State for the plans and the weather as far as road bans go.
