I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year! Definitely a busy time of year trying to enjoy every bit of the season with your friends and family.

Thank you to Paul at Quinney Quencher for hosting our December meeting. Congrats to Dan for winning the attendance prize. We also had some sweet treats to enjoy. We had a good turnout given the busy season and now that all of our snowbirds have left for the winter. This month we followed up on a few tid bits missed at the last meeting. We also updated progress on the Summer Freedom Ride and Get Your Wheels on Bike & Car show. There was quite a bit of conversation about other fundraising events in 2025 as well as adding some fun days. I’ll have the 2025 Schedule of Events for 2E Calumet & Outagamie County in the Newsletter this month too. Look for the cutout to put on your fridge.

In January we only have our meeting scheduled for the 5th at City Limits in Menasha. But there are quite a few other Regions with winter events. On the 25th I’m planning on heading down to 1F to try out Curling for the 1st time. It’s $20 to participate and bring a dish to pass. We have to be there at 9 am. On the way home I plan to stop at the 2A Brat Fry. If you’re interested in joining me, let me know. It’s always fun to be at an ABATE event and not be the ones working it.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for Lobby Day February 13th. The bus route will be in the newsletter this month. I plan to drive down separately and get there before the buses. If you would like to ride with me, please let me know. I really hope to see lots of your smiling faces there. And please bring your kids, grandkids, and friends. This is a great day to share with them! We have lots of work to do legislatively, so let’s hit the ground running.
