Region 2F: Waupaca / Waushara Counties

December 2024

We had a great meeting in November with 14 in attendance. We saw some familiar faces and some new faces. Thank you to everyone who came out to Bean City! We started our meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and a Moment of Silence.

We reviewed 3C’s updates and continued to 2F’s business item of ensuring all our members get their newsletters. If you are not receiving the newsletters or hear from another member who has not received one, please reach out to me and we can track down the issue and get that squared away.

It is getting cold out there and the riding season is almost over, I had info on how to winterize your bikes, so you have a great start to spring when it warms up. We reviewed our county’s DOT report. Great job Waupaca County, for lowering our motorcycle-related accidents this year from last by 75%! We are still seeing overall vehicle accidents in the county that are attributed to speed, impaired driving, and distracted driving increase on average by about 30.67%. Stay vigilant and watch out for the deer as well! They are popping out this time of year due to rut and hunting.

Lastly, we reviewed our MRF reports, and current bills state and nationwide. We voted on the time for future meetings, and it had been determined that 1 pm on the second Sunday is the best for the group.

Our next meeting has changed locations! 2F’s next meeting is at Just Another Bar (Ogdensburg) at 1 pm on December 8th. We will have food and celebrate the upcoming holidays. January 12th is at Wally’s Bar (King) at 1 pm.
