Auntie ABATE / “Cuz” Report

Dear Cuz;

Just spent my first Lobby Day in Madison. What a great opportunity for any motorcyclist to take part of. Kudos to those that arranged it. As a new member, I’m totally impressed. From the bus pick-ups, to ABATE headquarters, to meeting with Legislators, to the expansive building itself…. a very enjoyable and learning experience. Packets with talking points to cover each Legislator and office in the building were available, and group meetings were held to get our points across. That was great for those, like me, that are a little gun shy with public speaking. We were able to visit and let our representatives that work for us in Madison know what is important to us in keeping motorcycling a valid form of transportation within Wisconsin. Put me on the list to go every year. We need to be seen and heard if we care about our lifestyle.
