Dear Cuz;
Went to the Summer Hummer on your advice and had to let you know what a great time I had. New to the organization, you know.
Just wasn’t sure!
Dearest sure,
Borrowing words from my pal’s band, STYX, thought you’d have the Best of Times. Just doesn’t matter what you know or who you know when you’re at the Hummer. There’s always someone there to show you the ropes. And what happens at the Hummer stays at the Hummer, or so they say.
Anyway, now that you’ve been to what we so dearly call “The Land” remember to use it. As a member, it’s yours. You can stop by for an afternoon, or camp for the weekend. There are no campsites per se, but a few spots have electricity to plug into. They are near where the food vendors set up at the Hummer. This is a benefit of being a member – no cost camping. However, if you do feel the urge to help offset the costs of keeping our place as groomed as it is, there are donation drop boxes. Remember to leave the land looking like you found it…or put in a few hours and make it look better while you’re there.
By the way, take this down. There is a family campout taking place on August 11, 12, and 13th, 2023. Bring your kids, bring your dogs, and bring your grandma for a fun filled, no holds barred, family weekend. Games galore for the tadpoles and a potluck spread on Saturday night. Bring your favorite meat to grill and a dish to pass. The old-timers will be grilling corn for us all. I’m bringin’ my water gun and I’m a pretty good sharp shooter so beware.
Your ever loving “Cuz”
