I was overwhelmed and underwhelmed in Washington D.C. Fellow motorcyclists fighting for the rights of TWO wheelers on the road from across the country including, MRF, ABATE, Patch wearing clubs, 137 total. Looking for more people next year.
Politicians in Washington D.C. have offices smaller than my Insurance agent. Trinkets and memories from Wisconsin adorn the walls of the small offices, including a MILLER BEER NEON sign in Q. Moore’s office.
My small group had appointments with four elected officials. We were greeted by R. Johnson and B. Styles. T. Baldwin and Q. Moore had us meet their Legislative Assistant or Director of Operations. All meetings with prepared folders of our wants and needs seemed to go well. Face to Face discussions of our wants seem to have more effect on getting our needs met. No zoom meetings. Pays to have gone to local town hall meetings and explain how important it is for us to meet in person. I would go again. I have more stories, always better in person. Ask me, I love to tell stories.
