! Spring that is and that means ABATE Acres is going to need some sprucing up after the winter. We need your help to get the season ready and to start making headway for the Summer Hummer.
Land Warming is May 13- 15. Plan on coming up for the weekend and enjoy some good company while doing a few projects to maintain the property. It’s not hard work and friends make it easier. Most of the chores can be done with one hand leaving the other hand to hold a beverage.
This year we’re breaking tradition for Saturday lunch. Instead of the usual, we are going to have a Chili Cook Off starting about 1 pm. You’re welcome to bring a dish or dessert. Let’s see if Twit can win this one too. He seems to be on a roll!
Hope to see you then, refreshed after winter and ready to roll.
Drop Your Change Campaign. As an added way to reach our financial goal for the pavilion, drop your loose change into a jar at the end of the day…. bring it to the Hummer…. and let’s see how much we can collect in a few months. There will be a collection jar at the land starting at Land Warming. For more information about the status of the band pavilion read the article on page 21 of this newsletter.
“If we build it, they will come.” Please keep sending in your donations to Laurie Thompson marked “Pavilion Fund.” Questions? Contact Robert “Worm” Grasse at (920) 912-1789 or email him at robert.grasse59@gmail.com.
