It doesn’t matter how much planning goes into an event and how much time is spent on getting ready, it is always a surprise when it’s showtime. The committee has worked very hard to make you happy with a fun, entertaining weekend in store.
New to announce is the addition of an Axe Throwing vendor, Driftless Axe. You will have the opportunity on both Friday and Saturday afternoons to get serious, aim, and test your skills at hitting the target. There is talk that there may be a challenge involved with a Leader Board listing that lets us know who is top scorer and the best of the best. The winner would be entitled to 2 Summer Hummer entry tickets for 2023. Woot, Woot!.
Noon to 3 on Saturday, please let everyone know about our second annual “The Taste of Summer at the Hummer” – beer, cheese, wine, and sausage tasting. This year we will enjoy the sounds of Gregg Hall, an acoustical guitarist, who will play during this event. Dawn Stoddard is heading up this event so if you know of a winery, craft brewery, cheese shop or meat locker, invite them to our tasting and put them in contact with her. There is always room on our 80 acres to squeeze another “Taste” vendor in. Don’t forget that you will be able to take home your souvenier tasting cup which is included in the tasting fee. This year to coincide with our “Ride Your Own Ride” campaign, we will be offering non-alcoholic beer and wine tasting as well. Cost is $20 to enter the tasting “Room.” Enjoy and Savor!
Advance Summer Hummer Ticket sale cut off is June 6th. If you want to take advantage of saving yourself $5 to get in, buy on one line NOW. Once June 6th rolls around, you will be paying the gate price of $40 per member or $75 per non-member. Remember if you are not a member and sign up at the gate, you will save yourself $10 to get in. Membership is $35, member entry fee is $40 at the gate, and as a first time Summer Hummer attendee you get a $10 off coupon for coming. That totals $65. Wow – 3 Days of camping, music and camaraderie. Cheap at twice the price!
Want to help? Get in touch with Chrissy, our First Aid department head (her information is listed below) if you have any medical skills and are willing to donate some time to help out in First Aid. We hope we never need it, but we need to be ready in case we do. This is a department that is On-Call 24/7 and is very much appreciated. If we are able to spread out the workload, it will help everybody out. Remember that if you volunteer for (2) 4-hour shifts, your gate entry fee ($35 / the cost of a member advanced ticket) will be refunded to you.
Speaking of Department Heads below is a list of those that volunteered to head up various areas for the Hummer. Please contact them if you are interested in volunteering for a shift or offer your help during the Hummer. For this fundraiser to run properly we need good people to count on for the weekend. Remember that if you work (2) 4-hour shifts you are eligible for a $35 reimbursement, which is the equivalent of your advance ticket cost or in other words, you get in free.

If you didn’t order your Summer Hummer T-shirt, it’s too late. Stop by the products booth during the Hummer to see if there are any extras that might be available. There will be new product on hand to purchase, too.
I hope you did your part and “SATURATED THE STATE” with posters and advertising to generate attendance. The greatest advertising we have lined up for the 2022 Hummer is YOU. Bring friends and family – members or not.
DO YOU WANT TO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL HUMMER?
WHERE DO WE FIND PEOPLE TO ATTEND?
Our own Membership is our best source.
Then add your friends, your neighbors, your do-workers and your relatives to the best camping and music festival fundraiser of the summer. They’ll thank you.
Why? Because there’s nothing like a Hummer in the Summer!
