We have been having a pretty good winter so far. Warmer temps and very little snow. Unless that changes, maybe an early spring is in our near future. We can always hope. The month of February is always one of our busiest months here at Safe Rider. ABATE Officer Training, followed by the DOT Spring Kick-off for rider training, and then finishing up with our annual in-service training and Board of Directors meeting. Don’t forget to put Biker Day at the Capital on that list.
I want to thank all the Region 7D members who contributed to renew the MRF Sustaining Membership at their January meeting. You may want to reserve a couple of dates for their future events. March 2 will be a 7D chili cook-off, and for August 17-back by popular demand-the Firecracker Run II. This is the scavenger hunt ride we sponsored last year. It is a great ride and a fun time.
Safe Rider has a very dedicated and experienced group of Rider Coaches. I have asked them to write short biographies so that all of you can get to know them better. I’ll close for now and turn this over to some of them. In the meantime, stay warm and safe.
