June 2023
Classes are up and running. The first two are in the books as I write this. They could not have been more different weatherwise. The first weekend was raining both days, a lot of wind, and 40 degrees. The second class was dry and in the seventies. Despite the weather, everyone passed the first weekend. The second weekend was one of the best classes Diana or I have ever had. It included five students under 18 which is a high number in one class. Nine of the twelve students had perfect scores in the riding test. It made for an enjoyable weekend. The new curriculum procedures seem to be working well. We have ironed out a few minor bugs. All the equipment is working well, so I think the rest of the season should be smooth.
Next month I will be able to report on the Bikers in the Beltway trip. It is one of the few group rides I will make. Without naming names I’ll kind of analyze it from a Rider Coach perspective. The month of June will also bring our trip to Sturgis for a week of riding the Black Hills. I am really looking forward to the getaway. Next month I can also report on our new Rider Coach candidates’ training and hopefully expand our schedule with more help.
Ride Safe,
Gary
