What exactly does that mean? It means that we are close to the end of this project. With the building of the Cornerstone Wall next to the Pavilion. The project will be complete. Sometime in the future will see us adding some lighting under the pavilion but that’s a little further down the road and our “resident electrician” will most certainly complete that project with nothing more than material costs. I guess it is who you know.
So where does that leave us? We still need to raise $4,916.98 to pay for the project in full. This total includes the building of the Cornerstone Wall which we have sold bricks for – A total of 124. There is room to add 6 more if you buy it now!
How do we finish paying for it?… Our Buy a Brick Campaign came to a close on July 31st. The bricks were ordered late August. Dave “Chubby” Charlebois took the helm and laid the foundation of the wall end of August. Craft Masonry has very generously donated their services and some additional masonry materials, to construct it, which should take place late September/early October. If you want to see what it looks like finished, mark your calendar now for land closing the weekend of October 13-14-15th and come on up to take a look.
The committee is hoping that there will only be one more report regarding the Pavilion Project. That would mean that we not only have it 100% completed, but also paid for. I see that happening on the horizon. Buy a bucket. Buy a mug. Take up a collection at your meeting. If each member sent in $1 we could reach our goal and more. Let’s get it done and put it to bed!
