Summer Hummer Report

We made it, by the time you are reading this the “Hummer” is days away. Check over the bike, RV or car and make sure it is ready to make the trip to the land. Once you are up there you will be pleasantly greeted by the crew at the gate. Once you are on the land and found your perfect space to camp what can you do while there. the roads all have names now so it will be easier to tell your friends where you are camping!

Well first off starting at noon Thursday you can sign up for Twits Mingle Hunt. Walk around the grounds and correctly answer some trivia questions and the winner receives a great prize. You have a until Saturday afternoon to get this done. It is a great way to get around meet some friends, share a beverage and learn a little history and get a chance to win!

On Friday morning, as we have been promoting, Rebel and Mikey has the masters of the grille Mad Dog and Merrill there to entertain and show a crazy way of using your grille. After getting your grille on have the Bikini Girls wash your bike, getting it ready for Saturday. Later in the afternoon get ready for some stiff competition for Beer Bobbing. The water is cold and you need to be able to grab the beer can with your teeth but be successful and you get a free beer. Only a dollar to give this a try.

Looking for more competitive sports at 5:30 a group of people will be bringing in their bar stool racers and racing on a grass track. Watch closely because these things fly around the small oval and spills are mandatory, or so it seems.

On Saturday after a good night’s sleep, Consider the bike blessing and Run to the Highground. If not feeling up to the ride you can take that clean bike and enter it into the bike show. Having helped out a few times I am impressed of the quality of bikes that come for this show. There are classes for all bikes and the judging is fair. While showing your bike consider just rolling over a few feet under the tent and enter your bike in Hoggies’s Loud Pipe Contest.  Hey your nearby you might as well. He checks the bikes at a low and slow way along with throttle twisted all the way open. Wear your ear plugs because the sound is huge. Got ink on your skin? You can show that art at the same time. All these things are going on near the main tent area.

If your bike is not running or not loud, don’t have the tats, then meander over to the bike games and watch riders compete against each other in riding skills. Scottie too Hottie and his crew do a great job creating challenging exercises to challenge the best riders.

Following all these the finals of Beer Bobbing, Bar Stool Races and the underwear parade will finish up.

Of course, there will be music each night Thursday will be a crowd pleaser, Tuck Pence. On Friday night will be Waukesha’s favorite child Six Pack Sammy and Saturday Will be a “new” favorite the Spicy Tie Band. All these bands are a lot of fun and do a great job getting the crowd “busting a move”.

Also Saturday night the drawing will be held for the winner of the Summer Hummer Annual Raffle. So, besides all this fun you can be leaving here with a fistful of cash. Or at least a check in your wallet.

If that isn’t enough to do this weekend there is riding either in an organized poker run or just get on the bike and go. This is your event, on your land, put on by your friends, you will have a lot of fun!
