The Pavilion Project

Can’t wait for everyone to see THE PAVILION and to test it out at its first Summer Hummer. Once it’s been through this first season, we can fine tune some things that may need fine tuning. For now, though, let’s keep our fundraising goals in mind so we can pay off the balance that we owe. I know several regions have devoted some of their charitable event profits specific to the Pavilion Fund. Another easy way to raise funds is through the “Drop Your Change” program. This is something every member is able to do on their own. Keep a jar on your nightstand and just drop your change into it every night when you undress for bed. Take a jar to every meeting and remind members to drop their change right then and there. Take your collected change to the Hummer and let’s see how we did. It’s amazing how much money can be generated by such a simple thing. Remember pennies turn into dollars, and dollars will pay off the Pavilion!

The brick promotion is going well with 73 bricks being sold at last count. The design team is starting to talk about a configuration for the wall and engraved brick placements on that configuration. We will not announce a cut-off date for the bricks until we are closer to our goal of total payoff of the project, but the cutoff date gets closer every month, so if you want your name on the wall for future generations to see and realize how important ABATE of Wisconsin is to you, now it the time to commit. The designers still hope that our Past Executive Directors will get on board, buy a brick, and by doing so, become the “Foundation” of the wall just as they are the “Foundation” of our organization.

The Pavilion fund as of 3/18 /23 is short by $25,482 of its $141,000 total, so we do have a bit of work to do. Knowing our members, this goal is well within our reach. This pavilion represents unity in that our members joined together to build it, and by build it I mean members went through the hard work of raising the money to produce a building that will last for many years to come and hopefully, generate some income for us in the future.

Thank you for all of your efforts and hard work to make this project happen. ABATE could not do it without all of you.

Please forward any questions about the project to the Land Development committee.
