There is Strength in Numbers

At Officers’ Training, we discussed the importance of supporting both ABATE of WI and the Motorcycle Riders Foundation. Every single officer of ABATE should lead by example. One way to do that is by being a member of the MRF and then sharing with your regions and districts why each and every member should support the MRF.

We know the issues at hand: protecting E-10 or less gasoline, supporting fuel choice, protecting the internal combustion engine, and the right to repair. If we don’t stand up, and stand together, we will all be forced to follow the green new deal and ride electric motorcycles. And eventually, motorcycles will be banned all together.

Our lifestyle is being challenged. Are you willing to defend it? What about your friends? How many of our friends ride snowmobiles, ATVs, SXSs, use chainsaws, lawn mowers, farm tractors, or drive big rigs? All these types of equipment are affected by ethanol fuel and they run best with an internal combustion engine.

The MRF will be heading to D.C. May 20-21st to educate our legislators and ask for their support on our legislative agenda. Everyone is welcome to join us. There’s nothing more effective than speaking to our legislators in person. If you can’t be there in person, you can still support those that will be, by joining the MRF or renewing your membership. You can also send a Freedom Fighter donation at any time to help cover the expenses incurred during the event.

How about an event a little closer to home? The Heartland STEAM conference is coming up April 12-14 in Sioux Falls, SD. There’s no better place to get educated and get motivated than at the Seminar to Educate and Motivate. Join up with other states throughout the Midwest to get fired up. Some of the topics on the docket are The History of the Bikers Rights Movement, Long Distance Riding and a Female Perspective by Iron Butt Rally winner Wendy Crocket, Stop the Bleed, a 7-state club meeting, and an update from Rocky on the MRF Legislative Agenda. There will also be games, auctions, and a banquet dinner. All proceeds from STEAM go to the MRF.

These events are what keep ABATE and the MRF strong by keeping everyone educated, motivated, and engaged. It all starts with becoming a member so you can get the information.

Are you a member yet? If not, why? Sign up at www.mrf.org.

And always stay vigilant, my friends.
