If you haven’t already, please get out there and contact your favorite businesses to solicit sponsorship for this event. The Summer Hummer committee can’t count on attendance to cover the entire costs of putting on this large fundraiser for us and rely on sponsors to cover some of the major expenses. It would be our goal to come up with enough sponsors to cover the musical entertainment that is booked for 2024. So, let’s see what a good salesman you can be and bring those sponsorships in. We are printing posters in January for distribution at Officer’s Training, which means sponsorship forms and money need to be in as soon as possible if your businesses want to be included on the posters that go out. If you are out of brochures, or never got any from your regional reps, make copies from the form printed below. We are counting on you to help us out and will extend the deadline until the BOD meeting in January, however sponsorships will be accepted up until the Summer Hummer.
The “Bring Your Own Everything Swap Meet” will make its debut this year. If you want to be a part of the swap meet all you have to do is bring everything you need to sell or trade your wares – tables, tent shelter, chairs, money/coin change, etc. Your cost is a daily pass of $30. The swap meet is available on Saturday only and your day pass includes an all-access pass to the grounds, music, vendors, and camping at night. Nice little package deal for a day pass entry fee. Use good judgement when bringing in your items so as not to conflict with similar items from vendors that have paid the weekend vender fee. A specific area near the front gate will be sectioned off for swap meet tables. AND…we are looking for someone to head this area up. If you are interested, please contact Worm or Betty.
Look for Summer Hummer information on the website. Krissy is working hard to get information posted both there and on Facebook to keep everyone updated on Hummer plans, etc.
One other thing. We are looking for a design for the 2024 Summer Hummer T-Shirt. If you have a flair for artistry, send your ideas to Worm or Betty. We will be deciding on the final design at Officer’s Training. The deadline for submission is January 31st. Remember that 2024 is also ABATE of Wisconsin’s 50th Anniversary if you want to incorporate some of that into your artwork, however the Summer Hummer started a few years after ABATE started, so the event is not quite 50 years old yet. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
More to come next month…
Let’s rock and roll into 2024!
